We engage Barcelona’s urban resilience community to synergize and showcase their expertise in building capacity to face shocks and challenges.
The Urban Resilience Research Network (URNet) supports the creation of local Urban Resilience Labs to bridge science and implementation. The URLab Barcelona serves as a hub for city resilience initiatives, fostering collaboration, outreach, and knowledge dissemination.
The BCN Resilience Map is an interactive tool designed to highlight the city’s resilience initiatives. It serves as a comprehensive resource for understanding how various projects and strategies are contributing to Barcelona’s urban resilience. By showcasing these efforts, the map facilitates collaboration and inspires new approaches to urban challenges.
Explore the map to discover ongoing projects, connect with key stakeholders, and learn about the innovative solutions being implemented across the city. The BCN Resilience Map is a testament to our commitment to building a sustainable and resilient urban future.
As a local knowledge hub working in synergy with the Urban Resilience Research Network and UIC Barcelona’s MSc in Urban Resilience for Sustainable Transition, we organize events to promote urban resilience and offer trainings—online, hybrid, and in-person—for city practitioners, consultants, and community leaders interested in applying a resilience perspective.
